Jim
They're from Reading, and they're a bit Spacemen 3ish, so I've been
told, they're getting some good reviews at the moment.

Has the tape arrived?

| I saw them a while back playing with Slowdive and the Floosies. Didnt
think much of any of them unfortunately. A thorough waste of four
pounds actually.

| The three EPs are pretty good, the latest one being the best.
Didn't think much of Slowdive Humph No taste obviously =8*)

Hi Tim,
I have a copy of Whirlpool with the extra 12" single "Die Die Die"
if you're interested. I'll give it to you next time I see you!
Now that I have an extra copy of Whirlpool (without single) any of
you locals want it? Send me mail and it's yours.

Hi Jim
Where did you pick that up? I've never heard of "Die Die Die", is it
an American record or did you find it over here.

Tim,
I forget the name of the store. The single is a previously
unreleased track and only available at some stores.
I even got a neat Whirlpool bag with it. If memory serves it was
on Berwick Street in Soho near Reckless Records / near Rubert (?)Street
Market.
If your holiday travels aren't to the states this year I'll arrange
to get it to you somehow (I thought it was odd for me to find
Curve's Blindfold here when you couldn't find it!), maybe if I make
it back for the Reading Festival!

| Sounds like it was only available through "the chain with no name", a
group of independent record shops, Reading doesn't have one in this
chain at the moment although one shop is sometimes included and
sometimes not.
Hope the rest of your trip went well.

P.S. That trip to Brighton was the last my car ever made, it failed the
MOT and is now dead.

772.8 | Mesmerised, are you? | RUTILE::MACFADYEN | Ex- has-been | Fri Oct 25 1991 11:13 | 8 |
| What do you think of the new single, "Mesmerise"? I bought the 12" from
Listen, but they made a mistake and gave me plastic with two remix
tracks on it instead of the four tracks listed on the sleeve. Obviously
Chapterhouse are into the modern thing of releasing the same song in
ten different versions. The remix B side is great though.
