I think (in fact I'm sure) that Happy Birthday is NOT 'trad' and also
has a current copywrite. Source of this info is my daughter's basic
piano tutor book that has Happy Birthday complete with composer and
    copywrite info.

Really??? Does this mean every time a group of people sing 'Happy
Birthday' to someone, someone somewhere is missing out on some
    royalties???????

Matty,I began to understand dutch when that english boy group
were singin' "Pass the dutchy to the left(or right)hand side".

    Hahahahahahahahaha :^)
BTW did you get the melody beneath it?

Re .7

Yes. Whenever `Happy Birthday' is sung in a movie, royalties are paid to the
composer or whoever it is who owns the copyright now. I read something about
this recently.

Thank you for your replies.
I'm looking for the song for the party, and I looked for it at the CD shop,
but I couldn't find it by the song's title. So I'd like to try to find
by the group's name.
Thank you.
