Horse are a scottish band, which are now finally getting airplay on the
national radio stations.
The album is called "The Same Sky" and current single in the UK is
"Careful". If you want a full listing of tracks etc, let me know, I
have the CD on my desk at the moment.
The singer Horse reminds me a lot of early Alison Moyet, and has a
tremendous range. I highly recommend the CD.
Hope this helps.

The tracks listing is as follows
Album - The Same Sky
....and she smiled
the speed of the beat of my heart
never not going to
you are
breathe me
you could be forgiven
don't call me
sweet thing
stay
careful
CD Single - Sweet Thing
sweet thing
a place like today
cat dancing
its all my heart could do
CD Single - Careful
careful
wichita lineman
time to kill (demo)
sweet thing (live acoustic version)
I think the single you probably heard would be Careful, its a slow
number, with amazing vocals.
No idea when they are playing in Scotlan or anywhere else at the moment
but I'll keep my ears open and let you know.

| Calton Hill is a left on Princes street after Waverley Railway Station
- going west to east on Princes Street. You then take another left about
100 yds further down - I take it it's Calton Studios - and there's two
venues on this street.

| Does anyone know if HORSE are disbanded? We went to see them august 94
in edinburgh and at the end of the show they said they were off to the
states (again!) Since that night, they've never been heard of. Maybe
they'll re-appear as Shergar. He was a horse who disappeared........
Seriously, does anyone know if they are still around?
thanks, Stevie

| Bought the album, saw them on Jools Hollands old ITV show, and never worked out
if the singer was male or female for sure: neither could my friend who moves in
transvestite/transexual circles but she suspected male.

I saw them on the Mound in Edinburgh at Hogmanay 93/94. At least I think I
did, but it was Hogmanay so my memory is a little hazy. OK, that's no help
at all is it?
Sorry,
Guy

| Oh, right. If the singer was of indeterminable sex, it's the one I was
thinking of. Once again; no help I'm a fraid. I do remember Q (or someone)
doing a kindof "Whatever happened to..." on them though (might have been a
reader's letter). I'll have a look through some of them if I get the
time/urge...
