| Bonnie Rait is a superb blues guitarist, particulary on slide.
Typically, she is underated and generally ignored.

| I've been a Bonnie Raitt fan for a few years and have nearly all
of her Albums.
Great singer and guitarist but I feel the onloy thing lacking is
that she writes very little of her own material therefore has to
rely on other people.
I think she has perhaps not been helped by her Record Company who
maybe find it hard to place (Pop/Rock/C&W/Blues etc etc) so her
Albums I feel are overproduced and some tracks are too 'nice'.
However her voice overcomes that.
I think in thepast it's been a case of Companies and Management
saying 'Female singer, let's promote her as a middle-of-the road
artist.
I would love her to record an album of old Blues numbers so that
she could be seen at her best.
On the point of winning all the Grammies.
Although I am a fan and I think 'Nick of Time' is a very good Album
I was surprised that it won 'Best Album'.
Makes you wonder how they arrive at these decisions. Is it the Record
Companies trying to Hype certain Artists.
I know cos in the UK I bought the Album about 6-9 months prior to
the singles all of a sudden getting airplay on UK Radio.
