Howdy, I tried this in TALLIS::CELT several months back, so if it looks familiar... Does anyone know the words to a song by Clannad called "Theme from Harry's Game"? It is done in the Irish language; unfortunately the album gives no clue to the words in English, Irish, anything. It's a very beautiful, haunting song... almost sounds like a chant. Cheers, mina

HI there, I believe the music is Scottish and not Irish, I am not quite sure through. The only thing I will add is that I have seen them in concert and they were brilliant Alex

Hi Alex, Thanks..... You might be right about the words being Scottish. An Irish speaking person told me it sounded like "gibberish" to him; this could be why. If I ever get the words I'll post them here. Don't know anyone who speaks Scottish --- yet. regards, m.

1. They are definitely Irish (Clannad, I mean). 2. Unfortunately, my Irish friends told me they would be able to translate the words, but they moved, and we've lost contact, so I'm as baffled as the rest of you. Any help from anyone out there would be much appreciated by me too. Longing, of Cagnes/sur/Mer p.s. The film was possibly even more haunting than the music !! |
