| A separate topic for middle-liners sounds like a good idea. Howsabout
saying that you should post at least two whole lines? They actually run
this as a competition on a local radio station here, and even though
they only use singles which have charted in the past you'd be surprised
how difficult it can be.

Johnny Johnny is a Clash song from their first album, I forgot the title with
the time.
"I'm an air conditioned gipsy" is taken from "Going mobile" by the Who on
Who's next.

re.9 The last liner.....could it be "Protex Blue" from the first
Clash album ?
Andy.
|
675.34 | Indeed it is. | TENERE::LADRET | Gisement epuise (.neq.) mine de rien | Tue Oct 09 1990 17:05 | 8 |
| To cut a long story short, Johnny Johnny is also the title of the 2nd LP of a
punk/new-wave/whatever you call it french band Edith Nylon in 1980. It was a
non-disguised hommage to the Clash and Joe Strummer even went to play on this LP.
If I remeber well, the song Johnny Johnny started the way Protex Blue ended.
Quite promising, Edith Nylon has now faded away.
