Count me in, Stephen. Mind you, I'm not very good on the Irish music

| Entry Forms were available from yesterday in Zhivago. The manager of Zhivago is
setting the questions, and says that it will have a similar format to the Hot
Press Quiz last year (12 rounds of 10 questions, 2 rounds being audio), but
not as tough. The aim is that an average team should be able to get 50% right!

642.5 | Can you do better? | XSTACY::PATTISON | Help m'boab. | Tue Apr 10 1990 13:42 | 23 |
| Well the quiz happened last night .. and we didn't win. The questions
were definitely NOT easy. In the end I think we got 77 out of a maximum
of 120. The sort of questions that caught us out were...
1) Name a Cliff Richard hit with a number in the title (not counting
the Young Ones).
2) Name the Pet Shop Boys (sorry matty.. we just couldnt get one of
their last names!!
3) Which record label did Smokie record on?
4) Why was Jerry Lee Lewis out of the music scene for ten years?
5) How many albums have been recorded by Mary Coughlan? (is that
spelled ok)?
Get all five of those right and you should enter a quiz.
Also we slipped up on lots of 'Beat the intro' and 'Whats the next
line' type questions.

It brought back memories of a song best forgotten... Sing along now...
