| All I can say is Micheal Hutchence must be on some heavy shit to
be able to find Kylie Minogue attractive.
But enough of that, has anyone heard the 3RD BASE first track on
their album, called "Sons of 3RD Base". It's a real funky number that gets
the thumbs up from me. I'm off to see them in Brigton on the 22nd
March so I shaal let you know how good they are.
Also, is it true that the Stone Roses have a new album out in March
? If it is, does anyone know what it is going to be called.
Cheers

| Going off on a tangent as usual... but this one is related to Mr
Hutchence. I remember from my days in Oz a joint venture by INXS
and Jimmy Barnes called "Good Times" ( an old Easybeats song? ).
Bloody scorcher n'all. I don't think it was released in the U.K.
but it made the NO.1 spot in Aussie. Anybody remember it?. How
can I get hold of this in the U.K.?
Barry.

616.4 | Should there be an Ozzie Music conf?? | FSEDU::MEGAN | | Tue Feb 27 1990 21:32 | 17 |
| "Good Times" is still played on the radio alot here, Jimmy Barnes
and Michael Hutchence have such a big following, so the radio stations
keep giving it air play. I'm surprised it didn't chart anywhere
else, as it is a goooood song.
Maybe Hutchence and Minogue are going to do a series (maybe a movie,
he can act did you see "Dogs In Space?), this might be the latest
marketing ploy by her PR machine (like the days of Jason Donovan).
Still I did admire Mr Hutchence at one time, he looks like he has
sold out his personal life, lets hope he doesn't do the same to
his music.
Max Q still gives some hope, where's the next INXS album??
PS My original note was to be a reply to an earlier note on Max Q,
I hit the wrong key.

"Sometimes" was given heaps of air-play on JJJ (national-mostly-
indie-type-station) but failed to impress i think.
INXS are currently in the studios recording their next album (so far
untitled) after a year off for all the band members doing their own
stuff (having babies etc.). Stay tuned....

Sometime ago, when talking about this very topic, I was told that Rush
had become involved in a 'merger' project with another band (the name
eludes me) and that they were to be called MAX ...... Its killing me
that I cannot remember the name of this partnership...it was two words
the first being Max & sounded like a mans name (ie Max Smith). Also it
may have only been Geddy Lee not Rush in total !!
Help!!
Adam.

| MAX WEBSTER
Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson contributed to a song called
"Battlescar" on one of Canadian group Max Webster's albums. I don't
remember the name of the album offhand but I could check. Max Webster
was fronted by Kim Mitchell who has had limited success in the US with
singles "Patio Lanterns" and "Might as well go for a soda."
