    I just recently visited New England and was on the lookout for
    a tape of PETE HANCOCK (not to be confused with Herbie Hancock),
    and was very surprised to learn that he is totally unknown in the
    states.
    
    On the local JAZZ station one hears several pieces of him, the
    most famous one being "THE NEW YORK STEAKS". 
    
    Wonder if anyone knows him and can tell me where he is known!
    
    As far as I can determine, its slow rock, with heavy electric guittar,
    no voval.
