Hi there,
Blue'n'trouble are probably one of the best blues bands in Britain,
and have received rave reviews from leading American blues musicians. They
hail from Edinburgh I think, and have put out three albums - one just
recently. I don't know the name of the record label.
An extensive search through this conference yesterday revealed quite a
few comments on the band and fans of them, so they're not that obscure !

out on something big....
I've just come across a mention of them in a national quality paper...

I don't know the names of any of their albums!

| Hah! Craig, you're obviously surrounded by Philistines and Visigoths who
equate good music with what Our Price and HMV sell lots of...
Some Blues 'n' Trouble albums in our 'ouse....
Blues 'n' Trouble (eponymous)..... Ammunition label
No Minor Keys (with Robert Cray as a session player on one track)
Ammunition again
With Friends Like These (can't remebember the label for sure, maybe
Cooking Vinyl??)
Another_one_with_studio_on_one_side_and_live_on_the_other_whose_title_
escapes_me.....Ammunition again
I doubt you'll find most of these in your High St. shop, you'd need to
order them. The Ammunition ones are most likely only to be found on
vinyl, too. I must admit, though, I bought two from Our Price, and I
only live in a seaside town on the end of a railway line....
B&T also feature on the BBC "Blues on 2" compilation, made up from
live sessions featured in Paul Jones' radio prog with the same title,
Radio 2, Thursdays, 9pm....and you thought Radio 1 had all the good
music......
If you want to hear anything from these, mail me off-line, outa notes
if you follow my drift.

Ive just found this note, so for all you B&t fans here is the answer.
If you want albums C.D's poster T-shirts or any other material there
are two places to go.
John Bruce is the lead guitarist and has his own record shop in
Candlemaker Row in Edinburgh.
Secondly if you mail me Kernel::barthur I have the lot, including
the information line telephone number.
The famous name referred to previously is the genial Irishman
on keyboards by the name of Lou Martin, remember " Calling Card"
by Rory Gallagher.
This December the band are playing King Tuts in Glasgow on the 29th
and 30th and then the Calton Studios in Edinburgh on Hogmany.

Nice way to spend Christmas! So I'll be there.
