If you're really curious about hearing the second movement of
Beethoven's 7th played on an organ rent the movie "Zardoz". They do
just that, except a solo vocal supplies the part of the violins. I'd
appreciate any information on finding such a recorded arrangement.
And BTW, I'll have them play "Die Young, Stay Pretty" by Blondie
for my funeral.

Thanks Tony, I'll rent Zardoz if I can find it. I'll see if I can
persuade my friend to record this piece on the organ. He's an
excellent musician and I don't think he would have too much of a
problem, other than finding the time.
