538.0. "Anne Clark" by MLTVAX::MATHERS (The smell of fresh tennis balls.) Tue Nov 14 1989 15:39

Does anyone know anything about an artist named
Anne Clark? I just picked up an import CD over
here in the States and it has three songs on it:
"Our Darkness," "Sleeper in Metropolis," and
"Self Destruct." It's pretty good and I am curious
if there is more out by this artist.

    Thanks

    Barb

No, it just has the 3 songs listed in the basenote.
Is there another CD out there? Where have you seen
    it?

Unfortunately, I haven't seen *anything* by Anne Clark. I just
heard the track "Wallies" on my local college station here in Los Altos
    Hills, CA. (Near San Jose)

There are about three Anne Clark albums about (as far as I can
recall) - I never heard of her while I lived in England but my
Dutch man has this stuff on CD.

All her stuff was written in the punk era - she has a distinct
Brummy accent and sounds a bit like Toyah Wilcox, only far, far
    more depressing.
