    Jimmy Somerville, he of the falsetto singing, and Richard coles,
    that's who!

    I still don't know where they are, but hasn't Jimmy just cropped
    up on someone else's lp?

    Jimmy news !!

    Yesterday's NME sez Jimmy will have a solo album out sometime in the
    coming month. The next single is a French(!) song and I think it's out
    this coming Monday. (Can't wait to hear his French accent!)

    I can check on the dates. It appears he's no longer working with
    Richard Cole but the news snippet did not mention that The C's have
    split up.

    Hope this helps.

    By the way the name of the J.S. single is "(Comment te Dire) Adieu" or
    smt like that. I haven't heard it yet. It should be interesting.
    The title, again BTW, means "(How to tell you)Goodbye".

    Have you heard it yet ? It's probably another disco work-out. No ??

    I haven't heard it yet, Tim, although word is that it's kind of
    house-ish.

511.10<What else do YOU like?>KIRKTN::CBAILLIEThu Nov 09 1989 08:3610

    Heard it on the radio last night. It's quite good. I wouldn't say it
    was house-ish though. It is wee Jimmy and someone else......can't
    remember who??

    Any other favorite 'nards songs?

    Chris.

511.11JUMBLY::OCONNORNo bulbs in this flat!Thu Nov 09 1989 09:4910
   I haven't heard it yet Chris. There is one C'nards song that I like, smt
   like "You are my world" (bit of a soppy title for socialists eh ? -;).

    Also loved the Bronski's "Smalltown Boy" and their version of "It ain't
    necessarily so". (Good video too). (Useless fact:) Jimmy used to live
    in the next council block when I lived in the Oval, London.

    - Tim

    BTW I'm still looking for Tom Verlaine's new single.
511.12Disenchanted!!!KURMA::CBAILLIEThu Nov 09 1989 16:299

    I really like Disenchanted especially the 12" dance mix! My favorite
    Bronski Beat song is the 3rd one on the Hundreds and Thousands CD. Work
    that one out!!!!!

    I also saw the Communards when they played in The Barrowlands in Glasgow in
    1987. They were REALLY good (of course).........
