    Don't know if you'd class it as 'rap' ,but NENA CHERRY's debut
    album is brill'.She is British ( isn't she?!)
    If you listen to her words , some of them are refeshingly intelligent!
    
    Some rappers really annoy me . I think it's the way they 
    emphasize some the similar sounding words in their lyrics
                                                                          
    I often find it difficult telling the English from the American
    e.g; Betty Boo!

    I agree with you about Nenah Cherry's album.  I thought I read
    that she's American and left home at some ridiculously young age
    to go live in London by herself.

    I thought that I heard on the radio that Miss Cherry was half American
    (US) and half Swedish but could be wrong.

    Also hasn't she got some sort of virus or somethig while diong
    something while working with the F.Y.C. only a guess

    Well Im not sure of her nationality but your remarks about her lyrics
    interst me.  I dont know whether she writes her own material but
    anyone who calls their newborn son Tyson seems to lack a little
    imagination on my part.  Thanks for the tip I had thought of buying
    this lp but after ssing the #7.49 price tag it seemed to burn my
    palm and was thrown back.  I cant say Ive been to impressed with
    any of her efforts to date (Manchild a little to soft for my liking,
    Buffalo Stance was a little too teeny boppy )thats just my personal
    preference.

    I dont regard groups like the Wee Papa girl rappers in my own personal
    category they tome are Chart records!!! If that makes sense!!!!!

    I dont really know an awful lot about them at the moment but i will
    make enquiries and let you know next week.  You should you really
    try and get hold of the Jungle Brothers album "Behind the Bush"

    US rags have reported that Nenah Cherry is suffering from Lymes
    disease, which is a debilitating but curable disease transmitted mainly
    by ticks.  The symptoms vary from one person to the next, but
    arthritic-like problems are common, and I know personally of one case
    in which Lymes disease caused severe heart problems (and required the
    temporary implantation of a pace-maker).

    Their album is excellent, I bought it last year before general release
    in Britain. I havent listened to it for a few months though but I would
    recommend it.I first heard IT TAKES TWO in IBZ Night Life in Ibiza and
    this prompted me to search for any of their stuff as soon ax I got
    home. I think it was the CITYBEAT label I found them on.
    
    What about the DEEP HEAT series this is the best series of compilations
    since THE HOUSE SOUND OF CHICAGO series. Another one you should get 
    into is Simon Harris' album BASS he has to be one of the best DJ's
    around along with DJ Fast Eddie.
    
    BTW this is the first time I have looked at this conference so I hope 
    I haven't repeated anything that has already been said.

    Well said. I have been checking regularly and everyone has disappeared.
    
    Anyway I missed the last WEST COAST JAM but was told the it was
    excellent so I wont miss this one.
    
    What about Double Trouble and the Rebel MC ?? Busiest night at the
    Metropolis since it opened and they never turned up.

    its comming they all dayer is on for the sunday 12th nov. at the
    piv in ayr my mate who is one of the organizers tells me that the are
    trying to get a hold of the she rockers who are currently back-up to i
    think either soul II soul or de la soul can't rember any they are going
    to try and make the same price as last 8 quid but he say's its probably
    giong to be in the region of a 10 spot. hope to see you there.
