| The version of Graceland that was released recently was actually
a new version that's slightly different to the original - of course
it still didn't make it :-(
I look through the listings section of the paper every day to see
if they're playing anywhere (what chance of them coming anywhere
near Ayr?) I last saw them mentioned just a few weeks back - they
were one of the bands appearing at some sort of benefit gig, in aid
of Greenpeace, I think. So I guess they're still going, but I haven't
heard anything about a new album.

| Last time I was up in Glasgow I spied a second album by The Bible
but alas due to brain fatigue I can't remember what it was. :-(
Can someone possibly help out????
By the way it was in VIRGIN (Union St.)

464.8 | Walking The Ghost Back Home | AYOU30::PAULC | walk through the midnight shadow | Fri Jul 28 1989 19:38 | 6 |
| Yep, it's on an album called "Walking The Ghost Back Home". I
haven't heard the rest of the album (apart from another single,
"Mahalia") but I have heard people saying that it's even better
than "Eureka".

Been hearing a new BIBLE single on Radio One recently, it's called
"Honey be Good" and is rather a nifty track. Just to let you know
if you haven't heard it yet.

464.10 | From Eureka! | AYOU30::PAULC | walk through the midnight shadow | Fri Aug 18 1989 09:31 | 11 |
| Linda, "Honey Be Good" is a track off "Eureka". It was originally
released as a single last year but didn't do anything. I guess it
must have been re-released following the moderate success of the
new version of "Graceland".
Incidentally, I see that Boo Hewerdine has an album out in
collaboration with an American singer/songwriter (can't remember
his name). It's reviewed in Q magazine this month - they quite
liked it.

| More info:
1) The Bible are doing a few concerts at the end of September
none of them anywhere near the west coast of Scotland :-(
The dates I've seen are:
Sept 25th - Newcastle Riverside
Sept 26th - York, Duchess of York
Sept 28th - London Astoria
2) According to an advert in Q they have a "new" album out. I say
"new" because most of the tracks are off "Eureka". Track listing:
"Graceland", "Crystal Palace", "Honey Be Good", "Skeleton Crew",
"Red Hollywood", "Abraham, Martin & John", "Skywriting",
"Glorybound", "Up In Smoke", "Blue Shoes Stepping",
"Cigarette Girls", "The Golden Mile"
I don't know if the songs are new versions or if they're straight
off the previous albums.
3) The album that Boo Hewerdine did with Darden Smith is called
"Evidence". Has anyone heard it? Do you recommend it?
Cheers,

| Good grief, more than two years on and still silence. Have they broken up?
Is there a new album on the way? Does anyone have any information about
them??
