Went to see NEW MODEL ARMY last weekend at THEATERFABRIK in Unterfhring near Munich. It was jam-packed, lively, a really good concert, with most of the new stuff from their new LP "Thunder and Consolation", and some of their early stuff too, including "Smalltown England", "Betcha"... Definitely worth going, we had a great time. Cheers Hannelore

I saw NMA way back in 1984, whilst still at college. Cost me 20 pence and it was one of the best bands of the year. The only record I have is the single "Great Expectations" (also 1984, I believe). They were on the Tube two days before I saw them otherwise I wouldn't have known them. Didn't they change line-up a while back when the bassist left? Paul | |||||

The NMA line-up used to be (in the olden, indie days): Justin Sullivan ("Slade The Leveller", as I heard...) Rob Heaton Stuart Morrow, the bassist who was later replaced by Jason Harris I got their indie collection, only released recently, I think, with all their well-known stuff from 1980 through to 1984, and their two latest LP's, The Ghost of Cain, and Thunder and Consolation. I do like their energetic music AND their words! - Hannelore - |
