371.0. "COWBOY JUNKIES...ETC." by NEBVAX::BRADLEY () Tue Mar 14 1989 15:34

Hello out there....Any Cowboy Junkie fans around? I'd love to hear
from you. Any one check out their show in Boston? I'll be seeing
them in Montreal in April. I heard they put on a great show...
Also, has anyone notice that they sound very soft, almost mellow
on radio? Well that's because when they were recording, they recorded
on the top floor of a private building and were not "allow" to be
loud and so you have this "soft" sounding effects via radio, cd,
etc. But I also heard they really jam at their gigs. I'd check
it out and let you all know...

By the way, this is my first entry into notes. I've been reading
for a while and like pretty much what I do read. Since I am new
to the "NOTES" is there a new listing out there. I heard that there
is a notes file for WFNX and a couple other music ones. Could anyone
    help me out?

    Lis,

The Junkies recorded their album in a church. That's where the
    name Trinity Sessions come from.

I really like this band also. I caught them on Saturday Night Live
a few weeks ago and really enjoyed them. I could not get into their
sold-out Boston show but will try again when they come back.
