I saw a programme on BBC2 last night called 'SNUB'. I believe it was a repeat showing of a programme shown earlier in the week (note: isn't that sort of thing happening A LOT nowadays - show a programme on Monday, repeat it on Thursday sort of syndrome.) Anyway, there was an American band on there called FUGAZI. Anyone heard of them? They were sort of Gang Of Four'ish'. I was was impressed. Alos on the same show were House Of Love who have a rather pretentious lead singer but aren't bad. Tonights programme, which will be repeated next Sunday night, contains some World Domination Enterprises footage. Tommy P.s. I know this should have gone in a misc. topic and I know one exists but I couldn't find it. feel free to move this to where ever you wish mr mod.

Aaaah, Tommy! Mere mention of the Gof4....!! I caught the programme by accident on Sunday, just as the intro to House of Love's song cranked itself up - I was immediately arrested by that guitar sound (I've never heard this band before, but I'll *definitely* be making further investigations!) and went on to watch the rest of the show. Fugazi also I liked a lot, and Yello were quite amusing too... But most of all, I like the sound and feeling generated by a loud electric guitar in this kind of setting - there is life in rock'n'roll-land after all!! Good luck Snub Bob |
