314.0. "Melisa Etherage" by RDGE44::DALLISON (Cabo Wabo) Sun Jan 15 1989 15:28

Can anybody tell me anything about this lady ??

I saw her on the Belgium "Diamond Awards" program, and I thought
she was exellent. She was a sort of mix of country and raw rock
    and roll - brilliant.

She has an album out at the moment ( her first ) called Melisa
    Etherage; original huh.

I bought it 'cos i liked a song i saw on TV, but too many of the
songs on the album sound the same . Same sentiments about losing
a boyfriend, same acoustic guitar which is too tinny on most tracks.

There are a couple of good tracks on it...otherwise....?

What was the song, Somebody Bring Some Water, or some such title?

Its disappointing to hear about the album, cuz I think she has a
    great voice.

Yup, it was "Somebody bring me some water" and something like "Like
    the way I do".

    Great voice too!

I bought it because of the "water" track, but i got the CD. Maybe
the tinny sound was because of bad recording/production on the CD.

My Pretenders hits album on CD is also terribly tinny. I don't
know if the vinyl LP is as bad.
