| | Don't talk to me about bl$$dy Christmas songs...why just this
week someone, either from personnel or security, got the bright
notion of continually playing christmas songs over the tannoy
here. Well as it just happens one of the speakers is right over
my desk(head actually). Hearing these songs again and again was
cracking me up...so after putting up with it all day monday and
tuesday I've finally managed to get my friendly electrician to
disconnect the wires to my speaker. Guess the final straw was
hearing a country and western version of 'I say momma kissing
Santa Claus...' song by some kid girl or other!!!!AAARRRRGGGHHHH!

Off the tracks a bit, but this morning I heard on our local radio
a jolly little tune by Cliff Richard (could'nt crack the name although
wine was mentioned). Question is this likey to be played to death
over the xmas period ? thanks

| | I thought Cliff Richard did do a good one once. Can't remember the
    name of it though.

    Ken Dodd must've done one.

    the moment.

I heard a beautiful track yesterday morning on the Simon Mayo breakfast
prog. The 'B' side of ENYA's new single is a version of 'Silent
Night' in Gaelic. All of you over in Galway should enjoy that one.

Re .17, .19 Russians borrows from Prokoviev's "Leuitenant Kije"
which was also the basis for Greg Lake's hit.

Squeeze had a brilliant non-hit called "Christmas Day" out about
    four or five years ago.

George Michael but I have to say that I think that song's great.

I reckon if you get the NOW Christmas Album youv'e got a representative
set of the good Christmas stuff.
