I can only help a litte, other albums include 'Oxygene',
'Equinox' 'China concerts'?? (live) and 'The Essential
J-M J' (greatest hits), but I think there are quite a few
more.
On the personal side I only know he's married to Charlotte
Rampling the actress.

| Also his dad was Maurice Jarre of film theme fame. His most famous
theme being Lawrence of Arabia. I think he also did Dr Zhivago although
I may be wrong on that.

His last two LP's were:
"Rendezvous"
This was dedicated to the crew of the Space Shuttle Challenger
especially Ron McNair, who as well as being a scientist was also
no mean musician. The Rendezvous Houston concert included one piece
of music, called "Ron's Piece" was written by him and the timing
of the concert would have coincided with the shuttle orbiting above
the states and the saxophone part of the track was to be played
by Ron aboard the shuttle and transmitted 'live' to the concert.
It would have been amazing if it could have taken place, however,
sadly we all know what happened to Challenger.
"Revolutions"
This LP was recorded this year especiaaly for the 'Destination
Docklands concerts over here in London - a review of which can be
found somewhere in this conference!
Happy Listening!!

| His "Docklands" concert is being shown on Channel 4 (UK) on Christmas
Day, with a simultaneous broadcast on Capital Radio (stereo). I
think the time is 10:40pm.

Be aware that ZOOLOOK is unlike most of his albums in that he takes a
lot more risks (i.e. non commercial) in that album than any others.
(For that reason I think its his best). My next fav is Magnetic Fields,
though concerts in china (double live) might be a good one to buy next.
His full output in order is (though I'm sure the spellings wrong)
OXYGENE
EQUINOX
MAGNETIC FIELDS
CONCERTS IN CHINA
ZOOLOOK
RENDEZVOUS
CONCERT IN HOUSTON
REVOLUTIONS
as well as a 'greatest hits' THE ESSENTIAL JEAN-MICHEL JARRE' which
I think was released after ZOOLOOK.

| I have been a Jarre fan for around three years now. I was introduced
to his music by a friend who had a complete set of all the records
he had released to date. I was told by this friend that a 12" single
of London Kid from the Revolutions album has been released has anyone
seen it? And is it any good? Also has anyone been to either the
Rendezvous Houston or Destination Docklands concerts. If so were
they as good as the publicity they were given? I'm not sure if I
should have typed reply but it was the only way I could get into
the conference.
