| I just heard from a very reliable source, that after the Rezillos
split up - the two singers of the band formed the Revillos.
The last Rezillos concert was in the Apollo in Glasgow on the 23rd
December 1979 or 1980. They put the concert on album called Mission
Accomplished but the Beat goes on (and my reliable source is on
the cover!). Support act Chou Parrot, 8 encores (the REzillos that
is), bla bla bla.
The Revillos are as good as extinct.

| As I remember, the reason the Rezillos became the Revillos was
due to contractual problems with the record company. To get out
of the mess they found themselves in, they changed record companies
and changed name. Weren't they from Edinburgh or am I getting
confused ??

| The band (REVILLOS) effectively split with Simon Templar, Jo Callis and
Angel Patterson forming SHAKE and Eugene Reynolds and Fay Fife starting
the REZILLOS. Record company agro (SIRE records) was the cause of the
name change - to get out of SIRE they had to change then name to
REVILLOS.

PS - Rezillos were originally The Knutsford Dominators

I have the 2 Rezillos LPs and a couple of singles and also the 2
Revillos LPs plus assorted singles and really wish there had been
more. I had a tough time finding their stuff where I am (near
Boston, in the USA) and feel lucky to have even discovered them.
The last time I saw Jo Callis' name it was on the back of a Human
League LP. Don't have any idea where he or any of the others are now.

I have only got "Destination Venus" by the Rezillos on 7" single.
I heard the live album "Mission Accomplished", but the quality of
the recording was appalling.
It was a shame they split though.
