    As a new reader of theis notes file, I dont intend to read every
    Topic that has been introduced since its birth so that I can become
    current, (perhaps there is a function that overcomes this to then
    allow me to use the PASTE key and only read new notes?). Anyway,
    my point is that having just entered a For Sale note in the most
    obvious place (to me), at the end as a new topic, I find that it
    has been moved to an obscure backwater of this file, a topic that
    has apparently been reserved for this purpose although nowhere has it
    been officialy or otherwise listed as such by the moderators. 
    
    I would like to sugest that if there are reserved topics such this,
    that they should be listed as such in the moderators preliminary
    topics, which everyone reads atleast once to familiarise themselves
    with the notes file.

	Most 'interest' conferences have a "for sale/wanted" topic in them somewhere - this can easily be found using DIR/TITLE="Sale" - this picks out all notes with 'sale' in the title. If you are new to a large conference the "SET SEEN" command can bring you up to date without having to 'paste' (keypad ,) through them. for more help with vaxnotes try the Notes_help conference hit kp7 or select. Please forgive the moderators for trying to keep the conference coherant. People will still see your note as a new unseen entry, so it isn't lost in a backwater :-) Jane_not_a_mod_but_with_sympathy_for_them.

	I think .-1 is a bit harsh ... In the VALBONNE Notesfile (which must be the best-Moderated file on Easynet) you get a heading when you open the file saying where the 3 "for sale"-type reserved notes are. Yours suggestingly, - Steve B.

	RE : .-2 Yeah, OK, you're right - I was just trying to say that there are ways of making the conference more user-helpful. I don't believe every Notes-user should need/want to become an expert in the product in order to occasionally read/contribute to a conference. I guess it sounded a bit harsh ..... 8-^) - Steve B.
