| What sort of music do they on these evenings- Do they have any
real blues bands ,or is it bands playing cover versions - and do
they have any dress rules-I've often been caught out in Reading
for not looking 'smart'.

On Thursdays and Sundays They Have a couple of guus who play the
guitar and sing along. Dont be put off, they are GREAT musicans
and get the place really swinging. The atmosphere is great and it
can get quite crowded. If you wanna sit then i recommend that you
get there before 8.00 as it is normally packed.
I dont know what other bands they have but these boys are good
they do all sorts of stuff from cat stevens to the who to D.S.

Gavin is pretty well on the mark - it can get quite lively and those
two guys (Pete and Hugh???) are pretty good. They sometimes have
the weeks artist on the a chalk board. The Indian upstairs is good
for food, but not so 'hot' on service.
Now, whatever happend to that idea of starting an EATING_OUT_INDIAN
notes conference .....

There are no dress rules, I got in a jeans and trainers and a scruffy
T-shirt, so worry not.

166.6 | Check out the After Dark club too.... | 45466::STONE | Distant, Alone, Beneath the platinum stars ... | Mon Aug 22 1988 19:04 | 9 |
| I was there on Friday (19th) also in Jeans and T-shirt, the guy who
was playing was pretty good, doing covers of some famous songs with
an extra bit of humour thrown in.
Also check out the After Dark club just round the corner, we saw 'MAN'
there on the same night and had a few beers in the dressing room with
them afterwards - all in all a great night.

London Road.
Go out of BBB - turn left up London Road - turn right down London
Street (at traffic lights) and it's on the left about 50 yards down
- a little archway under the shop fronts.
