| Okay I'll start off with the following with was on the net a
few weeks back.
Psychic experts probe strange case of spooky Amstrad
----------------------------------------------------
GHOST IN THE MACHINE
--------------------
Phantoms seem to be keeping abreast of computing developments in the
UK by haunting them.
In the latest of a series of ghostly visitations, an Amstrad 1512,
lying quietly in a Stockport architect's office, suddenly burst
into supernatural activity, leaving a cleaner suffering from the
shivers on two nights....
Any messages in the music out there?
Marc.

142.16 | Entry #2 | HAZEL::STARR | You ain't nothin' but fine, fine, fine! | Thu Jul 14 1988 18:37 | 17 |
| OK, here goes:
(I hope this isn't too US oriented for ya...)
Last month, the US government declared Beverly Hills, California, and
including Rodeo Drive, an "economically depressed area", making it
eligible for up to $36 million is federal grants and funding.
(For those unfamiliar with Beverly Hills and the infamous Rodeo Drive,
let me state that it is one of the poshest areas in the US. If you
don't drive a Rolls Royce - you're nobody. Many Hollywood movie stars
live there, in houses that cost tens of millions.)
Good luck! I'll announce a winner early next week!

| Y'know, sometimes things inexplicably go wrong, and potentially
interesting topics get ruined by inconsequential utterings about
nothing of any great significance. So...just to kill this one off,
I'd like to report that the O'Jays had a minor hit about 12 years
ago with a song whose title was very similar to the title of this
topic. Interesting, huh!?!

that was the best I could come up with at the time. I didn't think that
anyone would come up with a good answer. But you guys proved me wrong
again! So....
And the winner is -
"Down And Out In Paradise" by Jouh Cougar Mellencamp

My congratulations to you, Grub, and to all those others who entered!
