What worries me is - There are an awful lot of young kids out there
who think 'WWW" actually wrote it !
Thereby selling even more 'WWW' albums, singles, T-shirts, pillow-cases
etc for a band who will never write a single lyric worthy of mention
on the same page as anything the Beatles ever did.
Phew! that was a long sentence wasn't it?

| Keith..
I was actually the person who said that it sounded better.
I should maybe have added that that was not my opinion but that of
several people I have talked to.
We people who remember the Fab 4 first time around will never hear
anyone as good as them and everyone else will just be a copy no
matter how good (or bad)

I understand that all proceeds from the WWW version are going to
the Childline charity - as is the album that it's taken from -
"Sgt Pepper Knew My Father". This is a 'remake' of that famous
old album where numerous current pop favs cover the original tracks.
Therefore I for one won't knock it.

RE: .5 old album where numerous current pop favs cover the original tracks.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This album is a NME complication by various mostly indie bands and
not really current pop favs. The names I can recall are The Wedding
Present, Frank SideBottom, Wet Wet Wet, Billy Bragg, The Three Wise
Men and The Christians. I'll include the track/artist listings again.
Marc.
