hi all has anyone do a successful isdn/ppp installation between a UNIX 3.2 on a ALPHA 3000 with the integrated ISDN-port and a UNIX 4.0b with a ZyXEL 2863I ISDN modem installed on the serial interface? it is possible to do a successful ISDN/PPP installation with a ISDN modem installed on the serial interface from a ALPHA with DIGITALunix 4.0b and the standard pppd? many thanks for answers giancarlo

Hi Giancarlo, I don't know anything about the ZyXel modem. However, if you are interested, I do have an IFT kit with ISDN support which runs on UNIX V4.0*. If you would like to use this kit, then you can copy it from: netrix::/usr/platinum/WAN_X3.0-6.tar Note that this kit is NOT for use on a customer system. We have some more testing to complete before we make it generally available - though it is looking fairly solid to date. I'll be making a public announcement later today. Cheers, Matt. |
