4711.0. "Where are the PPP dialups?" by HYDRA::SMITH (Tom Smith ZKO1-3/H42 +1 603 881-6329) Wed Jun 04 1997 01:18

I've been using the MRO/Kerberos and MKO PPP dialups via an FX line.
Unfortunately, the MKO dialup is going away and the MRO lines for some
time now only work over a direct (toll call) dial-in, not over DTN
    (some kind of harmonic interference).

Where are there other PPP (not RAS) dialups in Massachusetts and
southern New Hampshire or anywhere else reachable by DTN? There's
nothing on the CCS web pages. The followup question would, of course,
be what are the numbers and what is the speed, but maybe you can't post
    that here.

I saw that page but I must have missed the single line. :-) Only ZKO in
all of Massachusetts and New Hampshire?

Looks that way. Why not call the help desk and ask?

Note that there are more RAS numbers, and you can treat a RAS dialup as PPP
as long as you can log in to a domain.

Thanks. The CCS hotline didn't have any information at all (even the
ZKO number) or I wouldn't have asked. I _do_ need a PPP line, and not a
    RAS line.

You can use a RAS line for PPP - if you can log in to the domain. I do it
all the time.

ZKO Telecom can give you the ZKO PPP numbers. You connect as you do to the
9600 baud LAT lines and send a C PPP.
