4636.0. "packetforwarding in Digital Unix:SLIP ?" by TLAV01::CHENSAK () Wed Apr 23 1997 14:36

    I setup 2 Digital Unix (v3.2) to do the SLIP. One is Dial-in & another
    one is dial-out. I can setup it successfully ,i.e, I can ping remote
    host of the another side ,but I can't ping its own sl0 local interface.
    And this problem also causes another problem, because the customer want
    to let their small LAN clients to access to the other remote site, I
    config the tu0 network interface and run routed (at the Dial-out unix
    machine) , the PC on the small LAN that connect to the Dial-out can't
    ping the sl0 interface and remote SLIP machine 's IP. Do I have to
    modify the kernel ,like other unix ,that must modify the kernel to let
    it packetforwarding ? How to solve this problem , please share with
    us.
