4561.0. "Fonts and Browsers" by JGODCL::BOWEN (Two stars short of a Galaxy) Fri Mar 21 1997 11:53

    Quick Question

In netscape when you want to change fonts it lists all the fonts
    available on the system

Internet Explorer seems to only list a few

    Why?

Browsering the Registry doesn't show anything special, so where does
MSIE pick up it's list of fonts?

IE probably only shows you proportional/monospaced fonts. Netscape is
probably allows you to use all fonts.

My IE shows all fonts... (at least all TryType fonts).

What other font types are there besides monospaced and proportional?

    What version of IE?

    Mine (V3.01b 4.70.1215) doesn't

For example I want to use MS-LineDraw as my fixed width font however
I only see Courier New and Lucida Console as options.

I have gone as far as manually editing the Regstriy and have
substituted MS LineDraw for courier new, and it refuses to use it.
I can find no place in the registry that tells msie what fonts to use
    outside of the 1215 area...

    Any futher ideas?
