4542.0. "TIS RecoverKey?" by BIGUN::nessus.cao.dec.com::Mayne (Churchill's black dog) Thu Mar 13 1997 19:41

Do we have or recommend anything to match the TIS RecoverKey system
(http://www.tis.com/docs/products/recoverkey/index.html) for non-US use?

Most companies are either working with TIS or IBM for this. Was there any
particular product you were questioning?

    Take a look at the ISAC News (Industry Standards and Consortia) at:

    A number of articles in the Vol 10, No 3, March 1997 issue

One of our customers is looking at the opportunity of being a "data vault"
and/or key recovery provider. They think that TIS have the beauracracy figured
out so they can get more than 56 bits worth of encryption so they cam also
provide more security for their partners.

I just wondered if there was an alternative. If the TIS system is the way to go,
that's fine.
