4517.0. "netscape database change 3.2 - 4.0b unix" by CSC32::GLAUNER () Tue Mar 04 1997 12:25

    Description of Problem:
After customer upgraded to Digital Unix 4.0B (from 3.2C), the
    Netscape Commerce
Server 1.12 lost some of its functionality. When in the Netscape
    Server
Manager, database manipulations cause internal errors (along with core
    dumps).
In particular, I can no longer add users to a database, view the
    contents of a
database, edit users in a database, and remove users from a database.
However, when trying the above from a corresponding port 443
    server
rather than a port 80, all of these functions work, except for "Edit
    Users in
a Database". Customer can add users to database from a intranet program
    he
    has written.

    Errors
    ------
    In Server Manager:
    Internal Error
The administration server was unable to fulfill your request.

    In Error Log /usr/ns-home/admserv/errors:
[04/Mar/1997:11:38:20] failure: for host billy.bloodstockwww.com trying
    to GET /https-80.206.24.34.65/bin/dbaddusr, cgi-parse-output reports:
the CGI program /usr/ns-home/bin/https/admin/bin/dbaddusr did not
produce a valid header (program terminated without a valid CGI header.
Check for core dump or other abnormal termination)

    Core dump found in:
    /usr/ns-home/bin/https/admin/bin

Is this because of a change in digital unix V3.2c to 4.0b?

    Thanks
    Ray
