| | o Are there two Oracle7 server running on both clustered servers just like
SQL server on clusters?? Means two single instance on each servers??
(SPD mentioned both clusters v1.1 and v1.0+CSP2 do failover support for
  Oracle7 server v7.3.2.2.)
Or even multiple instance?? Multiple instance on both Oracle7 Workgroup
  and Enterprise server??

o The fact is clusters v1.0+CSP2 do not support IP failover but is it TRUE
customer still can use v1.0+CSP2 using IP connection (SQLnet) but need
manual failover to the static IP address?? (Cause no virtual IP for
  v1.0)

| | Thanks for your prompt reply, Pjotrr.
My customer still using NTv3.51 with Oracle 7.2 and therefore will
use cluster v1.0+CSP3 at this moment. Also they are using IP, so they
might customize their client to "see" both static IP (on servers) for
all the Oracle instances.
Besides, I am trying to setup dual Oracle with multiple instances on
shared disks; but following the admin guide (even the updated one)
still seems missing steps which leads to a unsuccessful installation.
The listener just won't startup.
Anyone have detailed step-by-step procedures besides on the admin
guide "procedures"?? Or any advice??
Best Selling,
:>
