681.0. "Cluster error in event log" by CSC32::P_BRADY () Wed Mar 12 1997 19:42

    Hello all,

    I have a customer with NT clusters running on two AS4100 with 1gig of
    mem each. The shared devices are attached to swxcr's and the are
    running NT 3.51 sp5. They are running Two oracle database on each
    server. The service fails, intermitentily and the only error in the
    event log is a cluster event Read Event failed on application (error
    122) The data area passed to a system call is too small

    The other error they see is from the oracle service. The description
    for Event ID (4) in source Oracle7.clu2 could not be found.
     It contains the following insert screen clu2

    Then they just restart the service and everything works fine.

    I am not sure if this problem is bieng caused buy the clustering
    software or buy the oracle service.

    Any ideas would be great....

    WHat do the cluster logs have in them?

    What do you mean the shared devices are connected to SWXCRs? What is
    the exact controller configuration? There are only certain types of
    controllers 'supported' for NT Cluster and the old SWXCRs are not.
