Hi,
I've had a customer who used powerbuilder on his clients connecting to an intel cluster.
This did work, however there were some performance problems. Basically the customer had to install
the new redirector on his sql client software. Now it works beautifully (400 inserts into a tabelin 1/2
sec)

Beautiful! But do you know if the new sql client redirector should be
purchased from Microsoft or freely downloaded form web ??
What specific kind of performance problem if we using PowerBuilder client
on top of sql client ?? Can you command on this please ?

The Customer did not say where he got it from, I will however try and find out.
The customer was trying row inserts into a 2 column table.
Originally he was getting ~1 insert/sec,
with the new redirector he got ~400 inserts 1/2 sec
(Config ZX6166/128 Mb)

| Hi,
Let me brief a bit. My Customer is using 2 x AlphaServer1000A 96M RAM with
a RA310 12GB HD. Client is only an Compaq Pentium PC running Win95 with
SQL client plus PowerBuilder client.
Everything is working perfectly fine before but after the Server side got
re-installation, the client cannot connect to the cluster. Only if we
remove the PowerBuilder on client then it works again!
Your earliest advice will be very appreciated.
