| Does it work if you connect directly to the server that currently has
the database?
I had a similar problem connecting from a Visual Basic application on
Win 95 to SQL Server on a cluster (see note 250). I installed a
new 'dclnamc.vxd' module and the problem went away.
I believe this fix went in to Service Pack 1. You could try upgrading
to SP1. Alternately, I believe you could install just the fixed VXD,
which I believe is at:
Directory LJSRV1::ALT1:[NT_CLSTR.FIXSP1.SQLWIN95]
DCLNAMC.VXD;1 88 24-OCT-1996 04:37:02.00 (RWED,RWED,,R)

626.2 | Yep sp1 both client & server | NETRIX::"[email protected]" | Sunny Spian | Thu Feb 20 1997 07:11 | 17 |
| Hi Al,
Thanks for the reply,
Yes if you connect to the server that is supporting the database there is no
crash.
Having talked to the client/reseller he tells me that he has installed sp1 on
both the server and the client. However he/we will check that the
'dclnamc.vxd' is installed.

626.3 | Seeing this with Clusters 1.1 on IBM Thinkpads | NNTPD::"[email protected]" | Adrian Moore | Thu May 29 1997 17:11 | 15 |
| Hi,
A client has reported this on IBM ThinkPad 760 laptops running Windows 95
with clusters 1.1. Whenever access to a cluster resource is attempted
the machines go down with the error in .0.
The machines are built from scratch with Win95 and the Clusters client
as well as Office apps.
Thoughts? Updates?
Thanks & regards,
Adrian Moore
