587.0. "After failover W95 client problem" by STU01::SUFP02::stu01::Kluge (The answer is 42) Thu Jan 30 1997 02:38
High Folks !
I have a problem with Windows 95 Client after the failover.
Customer Configuration:
WNT Server 3.51 Service Pack 5
WNT Cluster 1.0 Service Pack 1
W95 Cluster Client Software with the update from the Cluster Service Pack 1
We have the following names: SPBBA001 Primary cluster member
SPBBA002 Second cluster member
SPBBCLU Cluster alias
Everything works fine with WFW 3.11, but the W95 client can't see any
directories in the shares. The customer can browse with W95, but he doesn't
see the contents of the shares. For example share as:
\\SPBBCLU\global works fine, when the disks are online at SPBBA001 the
connect fails after failover, when the disks are online on SPBBA002.
The error message is: Networkname not found or no access
When I connect with W95 \\SPBBA002\global I have no problems and I see the
contents of the shares.
The same with a WFW 3.11 client everything works fine.
Can anybody help me ??
Reiner
