Some of the twister scenes, and interior shots of the home being destroyed were quite intense. Everything was being sucked out of the house. Like the kid from L.A. in the movie said, "I'd rather be in an earthquake". If your home is a target of one of these things, it has to be absolute terror. Dave

I chose to watch this, since I'm explicably drawn to all-things-about-tornados, but it wasn't very good. John Schneider didn't get much chance to shine. The teenage son was pretty good. The tornado images were pretty unconvincing, I thought, except the one where the car carrying Mrs. So-and-So got swallowed up, and the aforementioned scenes at the kid's house. I did get a little testy when the house was coming apart and the sirens were sounding, but the teenager didn't go and get his baby brother. It was one of those things where you keep saying out loud, "Go get your baby brother!!" (to the annoyance of other viewers in the room). :-) |
