423.3 | Channel 5 and WPIX, at least | BOOKIE::chayna.zko.dec.com::EPPES | Nina Eppes | Fri Jan 26 1996 18:37 | 14 |
| 11:35 pm on Saturdays on Channel 5 (WCVB) in Boston.
If you get cable, "Xena" follows "Hercules" on Saturdays on WPIX.
"Hercules" at 8:00, "Xena" at 9:00 (and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" at 7:00,
just fyi; pretty neat lineup :-) ).
I also discovered accidentally this past weekend that "Hercules" and
"Xena" also are on Sunday afternoons on WPIX, I think at 12:30 pm (Herc)
and 1:30 pm (Xena). Or maybe 11:30 am and 12:30 pm, I'm not sure.
Check TV Guide or some other local listing.

P.S. "Xena" has a Web site at http://www.mca.com/tv/xena (Herc has one, too).

| Do the women on this show have to beable to fill a D-cup before the try
for auditions or what?
I guess if the ladies get to stare at Kevin Sorbo of Hercules...we
can eat our cake too!

| Another out-of-body experience episode, how many times are they gonna
run that one into the ground. I did like how they used "The King of
Thieves" for the show, nice touch, I've always liked him.

| While I can't say that I've seen too many episodes of either Hercules
or Xena, I must say that an E! special I saw on how these shows are
made was rather fascinating.
I do remember being totally amazed at the quality of the special
effects in the show (first time I saw it, I thought it must have been a
major motion picture that I somehow hadn't heard about).
They are really doing some very cool stuff with SFX.
I also like the way they chose to play Hercules: instead of getting
another Arnold S. body-type, they got an actor and do a lot of
tongue-firmly-planted-in cheek stuff.
Haven't seen enough Xena episodes to comment on that show.

423.18 | Out of body..... | SUBPAC::MULVIHILL | | Fri Feb 28 1997 08:44 | 14 |
| RE: .16
I believe the reason they had so many shows dealing with out of body
experiences was that they had to come up with a way to keep the show
going after Lucy Lawless broke her pelvis. She was in very few scenes
during these shows, and did nothing other that speak or walk around a bit.
Based on the last couple of shows, it appears she has healed and is
back to her usual role.
Does anyone have any background info on Lucy Lawless, or Renee
O'Connor?

| there are many web sites for Xena.Here is one
http://personal.riverusers.com/~xenafan/
Any one notice how more comical the show is getting? Lots of good
inside jokes. Also real funny side stories like...
the one where Gabriel is trying to catch Xena off guard and hit her.
She ends up doing at the end but then doesn't believe that she did it
so she thinks Xena let her. too funny.

423.20 | Side-Kick | FABSIX::S_MARCHESSAU | | Sun Mar 02 1997 14:40 | 5 |
| The episode with the side-kick Gabriel (sp) trying to sneak attack
Xena was a hoot, I couldn't stop laughing all through it. I wish
I could have taped it, to me it was a classic. I don't think all
the shows have to be brutal with someone dying to be a success. A
good comedy once in a while is needed.
