411.0. "The Revolutionary War" by SLEEPR::MAIEWSKI (Bos-Mil-Atl Braves W.S. Champs) Mon Dec 04 1995 09:57
Anyone been watching the American Revolution on The Learning Channel (TLC)?
It seems to be done in 6 parts with Charles Karault narrating and it is
really good. It's done in the same style as Ken Burns Civil War and baseball
series but since they had no photographs they have to use paintings. Also there
were some problems with the reinactments because many of the important scenes
are either surrounded by modern buildings or plowed under completely by new
construction.
Still they did a fine job.
I saw the 1st 4 of the 6 parts but I'm having a hard time catching up with
parts 5 and 6. They seem to be rerunning the earlier parts quite a bit but
so far I haven't been able to find the last two parts. If anyone knows when
they will be rerun could you pass that along?
Thanks,
George
