For fans, I think this turned out to be quite a show. All the ABC hype just about did me in, almost didn't want to watch it. The Free as a Bird video was just great and the song itself left such a strange feeling, since John Lennon sings on it. Dave

It was the best reunion since Star Trek the Movie. Lots of nostalgia, good stories about their years before coming to the U.S. and of course great music. The "Free as a Bird" video was an experience in itself with pictures of Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields, Elenor Rigbie's grave, the Abby Road cross walk and tons of other Beatles icons. The Beatles seem pretty straight forward in their interviews saying things I'd never heard before about dropping Peter Best and several other things. It will be interesting to hear what they have to say about the one and only Billy Shears. My guess is that they aught to cover that along about Wednesday. The video itself seemed to have a Monty Python look to it, I wonder if the guy who did their animation had anything to do with the film? George | |||||

For those really interested, this has been under discussion already in the Beatles conference (yes, there is a conference dedicated to one of the best bands ever). The topic number is 730 in Beatle::Beatles |
