Me thinks it would also be important to know which town those
who get it live in and who their cable and/or sattelite vendor
	is ......

I get the Sci-Fi channel. I live in Townsend and have Cablevision.
I love this station. You get to see all the old shows (obscure or
not) and some great old sci-fi movies. I don't watch it all that
often as my television guide doesn't list it in the "block" format,
only in the detailed listings, so I forget about it.

| | FWIW, I live in Nashua [NH] and am served by Time-Warner Cable,
and we do *not* get the Sci-Fi channel. I requested it and
got in the mail their standard form letter that they don't
have the channel capacity etc (because they have to carry all
those home shopping, infomercial and pay-per-view channels!).
If others in Nashua would like to start a signature petition request
to Warner (and also to submit to the newly formed Nashua Cable
Advisory board) I'd be willing to sign it ....

| | We get it through Cablevision in Boston if you elect the package that
has it.

    Hi all,

Just wondering whether anyone has heard if (when?) this channel will be
available in Canada, specifically the Ottawa area. I've been dying to
see it for a long time now but all I seem to be able to find are the
listings for the programming each month. Alas, no info on ETA around
    this way.

'ppreciate any info you can give me.

Well I didn't get any takers. However, FWIW, Time-Warner
Cable now has email. The Nashua one is supposed to be:
