What's On Tonite! (TM) is a free, daily electronic publication of TV
listings delivered via Internet e-mail. It is available at no charge to
anyone with an Internet e-mail address, including members of CompuServe,
Prodigy, America Online, Genie, Delphi, AT&T Mail, and MCI Mail. Our goal
with What's On Tonite! is to add value to your TV experience by making you
more aware of your viewing choices. We call it Value-Added TV (TM). Each
day some 100,000+ readers in the Internet community agree.
There are four regional editions of Whats On Tonite!, one for each time
zone in the continental United States (Eastern, Central, Mountain, and
Pacific). If you acquired this copy of Whats On Tonite! from an on-line
forum or newsgroup, chances are its the Eastern edition. When you
subscribe for daily delivery, you can select the edition appropriate for
your time zone. Subscribing couldnt be easier, simply send an Internet
e-mail message to our automated e-mail reader. Complete instructions
appear at the end of this document.
-------------------from bottom of post--------------------------------------
What's On Tonite! is produced by New Century Productions Inc. of Kattskill
Bay, NY. New Century Productions was founded in November 1994 by computer
and communications industry veterans Art Gravina and George Thibault.
VIEWING AND PRINTING THIS DOCUMENT: Each weekday edition of Whats On
Tonite! consists of a 25K ASCII file. (The Saturday and Sunday editions,
delivered on Friday, are each 50K in size.) Each line in the Whats On
Tonite! document contains a maximum of 74 characters. We have used spaces
instead of tab characters to minimize viewing problems across platforms.
If the columns in the document do not line up on your screen or printer,
its probably because youre using a proportional font. We recommend that
you view and print this document with a 10 point fixed font like Courier.
For printing in a 10 point fixed font, you should set your left and right
margins at one inch. Likewise, set them at one-half inch for a 12 point
fixed font.
==========================================================================
THE LAYOUT: Each edition consists of six categories: Movies, Sports,
Specials, Infotainment, Talk, and Crafts. Within each category, the TV
listings are arranged by time. The weekday editions of Whats On Tonite!
cover the period from 6:00 PM till 12:00 Midnight. The Saturday and
Sunday editions cover the period from 12:00 Noon to 12:00 Midnight.
==========================================================================
HOW TO FIND ANY LISTING IN A HURRY: The quickest way to find a particular
listing is to use the Search or Find command in your e-mail editor or word
processor. For example, to find the time and channel for tonights Knicks
game, search for "Knicks" (omit the quotes). Likewise, to find whether
there are any Laurel and Hardy movies on tonight, simply search for
"Laurel" or "Hardy" (omit the quotes).
==========================================================================
HOW TO GET A FREE SUBSCRIPTION: What's On Tonite! is delivered daily via
e-mail at no charge to the Internet community. If you subscribe, you can
expect to receive marketing materials from New Century Productions and our
marketing partners on a periodic basis. If you do not wish to receive
these materials, then please do not subscribe.
There are four regional editions to Whats On Tonite!, Eastern, Central,
Mountain, and Pacific. To subscribe to a specific edition, send an
Internet e-mail message to our automated e-mail reader:
[email protected]
Leave the subject line blank and use the syntax "subscribe edition
firstname lastname" (omit quotes) to create the first line of the message.
For example, if Alice Johnson, a Colorado resident in the mountain time
zone wanted to subscribe, she would enter the following text as the first
(and only) line in her e-mail message:
subscribe mountain Alice Johnson
Important Note: Some commercial on-line services charge for incoming
Internet messages. Please check with your service provider regarding
their Internet e-mail pricing policy before subscribing.
==========================================================================
HOW TO CANCEL A SUBSCRIPTION: To cancel, send an Internet e-mail message
to our automated e-mail reader:
[email protected]
Leave the subject line blank and use the syntax "unsubscribe edition"
(omit quotes) to create the first line of the message. Continuing with our
example, if Alice Johnson, a resident of the mountain time zone wanted to
cancel her subscription, she would enter the following text as the first
(and only) line in her e-mail message:
unsubscribe mountain
==========================================================================
HOW TO SEND US YOUR COMMENTS: We are committed to making What's On
Tonite! an indispensable resource for your TV viewing. As such, we
sincerely appreciate feedback from our subscribers (and would be
subscribers). If you're having a problem with our service or perhaps have
a suggestion for improving our product offering, send an Internet e-mail
message to us at:
[email protected]
Leave the subject line blank and include the word "comments" (omit quotes)
as the only text in the first line of the message. Then, beginning on
line two of your message, tell us what's on your mind. We promise to take
each of your suggestions seriously and will attempt to send a reply to
each message we receive.
==========================================================================
HOW TO ADVERTISE WITH US: Our marketing partners share our commitment to
terrific products and top-flight customer service. If your organization
fits the bill, send an Internet e-mail message to us at:
[email protected]
Leave the subject line blank and include the words "info advertising"
(omit quotes) in the first line of the message. We will send an
electronic media kit to you via e-mail.
==========================================================================
TELL A FRIEND ABOUT US: We encourage you to forward a copy of Whats On
Tonite! to your friends and co-workers for their non-commercial use. Our
only requirement is that you distribute the publication in its entirety.
==========================================================================

Sincerely,
Your [email protected]
