HI - In the UK this series is currently going out on C4 on thursday
evenings. I'm really enojoying it - its very funny in an understated
way. Does anyone know if there is more than one series of this, or if
it was popular in the US? It reminds me of another funny show we got
called 'Dream On', although we only got one season of that, so I guess
that wasn't too popular.

Mike,
Bakersfield was only on one season, and I think it was cancelled. I
liked it a lot. Dream On is now a Pay Cable (Showtime I think) show.
but it's been on for 5 seasons or so. I was able to get it for 1 season
and I enjoyed that too.

No, they film 2 versions which would allow them to sell it into
syndication when enough episodes are in the can. They've hit that point
and they're the episodes you're seeing.
