I missed the second season premiere of "Bob" so I'm a little at sea as to the new premise. At the end of last season, the "Mad Dog" comic was canceled, right? So now, Bob is back at the greeting card company he used to work for, as president, wtih Betty White as CEO. Does that mean that all the kooky characters who worked on Mad Dog are gone? What a shame, I loved most of them. I only saw part of last week's show (it's going to take a while for me to remember to tape it), but Betty White and Jere Burns who plays her son were funny, and Bob's wife and daughter are still around (I hope Otto the cat is too!). I think the old show was better and the network must want to kill it.. it is still on the worst time slot.. Bye Bob.. too bad - TV is getting crappier by the hour

Actually, Bob is getting crappier and crappier. His 1st show, about the Psychologist in the Twin City was pretty good. His 2nd show about the inn keeper was ok, but the characters around him were starting to get a bit corny and his wife was too young. His third show is terrible, all the minor characters are very corny and his wife is young enough to be his daughter. If he keeps this up, he'll be back to doing his driving instructor bit in night clubs. Hey, maybe that would be a good show ... George

I agree, this new "Bob" is not nearly as funny as "Mad Dog" "Bob". I don't think I'm going to bother taping it from now on... I miss Harlan and his girlfriend! Richard |
