"Bloop."

| Darn! I was hopin' I could have put that answer in here ... a few
people beat me to it! Weird that I actually remembered that the
"Bloop, Bloop's" name was Debbie, when sometimes I can't remember what
I had for dinner last night! :-)

Anyone else hear there is going to be a big screen release of
'Lost in Space' next year? The movie has a fair size budget of $50
million, I just wonder if it will make the money back at the theaters?
Not sure of the plot details, wether this will be a rehash from
the launching of the Jupiter 2 or if this will end the story and have
the Robinson's finally land on Alpha Centari.

| It is well known that Billy Mummy has been trying to get Lost in Space to
the big screen for years, but Irwin Allen was opposed to it. Within the last 2
years, something changed that made this more possible - I can't remember what
that was. It wasn't Guy Williams death.
In any case there is not a proposal in the works to get it to the big screen.
The current screenplay takes place on Alpha Centauri, at the end of the mission,
and involves the society that exists there (human I believe), personal
relationships, etc.
Anyone know more?

| I read in TV Guide, probably 4-6 weeks ago, that there is in fact a
$50M movie in production...I still have the issue of TV Guide, I could
check it for more details ...

| I met Billy Mummy at my ex-husband's cousin's wedding. She used to be
the manager for Aerosmith and met all kinds of celebrities while
touring with them. Billy was a good friend of hers.
My ex went up to him at the wedding and asked a question about the
robot, and Billy got all in a huff and left the table. Seems he didn't
want to talk about the show for some reason, and was very rude about
it. We weren't impressed!!
