TNT is doing a one hour special on Jean Harlow. Hosted by
Sharon Stone, it blends archival footage, home movies and
film clips to tell the story of an actress who was arguably,
one of the biggest influences on Cinema, both then and now.
While I find the show to be a bit of a whitewash, especially
when dealing with her life off-camera, I also found it well
paced and entertaining, and would recommend it for old-time
film buffs and historians.
Some of the highlights:
Footage from Hells Angels, the first Color (not Technicolor) film
ever made by Howard Hughes
Newsreel footage from some of the Movie Premieres which Harlow
attended.
The answer to the question, was Harlow a natural blonde ?
