142.2 | In the unlikely event... | IJSAPL::KLERK | Quality by Design | Tue Aug 10 1993 08:11 | 7 |
| My TV guide only runs upto Friday 13th, but will look for it in next
week's when it arrives. If it is on BBC1 or BBC2 I could catch it in
Holland (same VCR system as Australia) but I doubt it very much: those
shows are normally not live and NKOTB seem to be much of a dead thing
around here now everyone believes/knows they cannot sing anyway...

| Sorry Don, there's no broadcast on any of the UK TV Channels
(or Radio come to that) on Saturday 14th. I suppose there is
the slight chance it may be recorded for later broadcast, but
it is very unlikely. As .2 says, they haven't been a popular
group in Europe for a long while - quite frankly I'm surprised
they are doing a concert at Wembley at all.

| Re .2 and .3
Thanks guys. Yes, I agree with you that NKOTB seem to be synonymous
with "The Over-The-Hill Gang", but my daughter tells me that they've
been working on a new album which is due for release anytime now, hence
the reason for them appearing at Wembley - it's all about promotion of
their new album.

142.5 | Perhaps MTV? | IJSAPL::KLERK | Quality by Design | Mon Aug 16 1993 18:40 | 6 |

In that case, perhaps MTV (slowly becoming a TTV - Talk/Sport TV) will do
a special on them soon - otherwise impressions of the concert could pop
up in any pop music program as clip.

| The concert was broadcast on Radio 1 on Sunday afternoon. NKOTB
were just a support band, the main attraction was this years
British ( and next years Australian :-) ) wonder group "Take That".
