| Harry Morgan, better known by millions of viewers as Col. Sherman T.
Potter of the M*A*S*H TV series. He did play in quite a few old
westerns too but is best remembered by these two roles.

| As I recall, the old partner was named Frank. Dragnet went off the air in
the early or mid '68's. When it came back as Dragnet '68, the guy who played
Frank was busy with another series so they got Harry Morgan to play the part
of the new partner.
At least that's the way I remember it, I may be off, it was 25 years ago.

| The earliest episodes of the second Dragnet incarnation show up on Nick
at Night as "Dragnet 1967."
I can't think of the name of Jack Webb's first partner either...but if
trivia memory serves me correctly, he was the same guy who played the
part on radio. (Yup, "Dragnet" was a radio series before it went to
TV.)
