| NBC Thursday Night:
I'd like to see them pair up "Seinfeld" and "Mad About You" again. I
think they'd work best at 9:00 and 9:30, but 8:00 and 8:30 would be
okay, too. I'd like to see "L.A. Law" moved to a night where it can
die quietly, giving the 10:00 timeslot to something a little bit more
fresh, like "I'll Fly Away," "Sisters," or even "Reasonable Doubts."
Fox Sunday Night:
Lose "Married with Children" and "In Living Color," and develop
stronger, more adult comedies. I'd like to see "Flying Blind" in an
earlier timeslot, paired with "Herman's Head." "Roc" and "Martin"
would make a good pair, too. Call Jonathan Winters' and Randy
Quaid's agents, and make another go of "Davis Rules."
ABC Sunday Night:
Bring back "Life Goes On," and cancel "America's Funniest..." I can
dream, can't I?
CBS Monday Night:
Have Murphy's baby spontaneously combust in the first episode, or
reveal that the last season was a dream. Keep "Evening Shade"
around. Hire Annie Potts to replace Susan Dey on "Love and War," and
consider moving it to 8:30. Axe the John Ritter sitcom and replace it
with another stuggling series, such as "Bob," "Brookyln Bridge," or even
"Major Dad." (Guilty pleasure.) Or call the producers of "Flying Blind"
and offer them the 9:30 time slot. I think the show would fit in very
well between Murphy and "Northern Exposure."
Back to my real job...

Key West
Reality:
The Wonder Years, Young Indiana Jones, and Key West are history. Homefront
and Civil Wars are probably history. Northern Exposure, both Star Treks, and
Seinfeld will definatly be renewed, Pickett Fences probably will be. The
others are up in the air.

Both Star Treks are syndicated, the network does'nt produce them.

| I would dump Married with Children, In Living Color, Hermans head, etc.
get my drift? I agree with .1 I think that we need to get rid of
some of these real senseless shows. Comedy is wonderful, but let's
have a more mature comedic series. Even Drama shows are starting to
get cancelled or fade away.
It is nothing like the Golden years of T.V. and I was not even born
yet to see those shows, but the studying I have done on this form of
"art" it has changed drastically. Too bad!

| There seem to be very few replies here but I'm curious about those who did
answer. Are you saying that if you were an executive in charge of programming
and that your future depended on making money for the network that you would
make those moves or is this just another "I like this, I don't like that"
note?
Were someone to ask me "If you were a network exec what would you run on the
air?" my answer would be very different than if they asked me "What would you
like to see on TV?".
The 1st list would be a list of programs I thought would make money.
The 2nd list would be a list of programs that I actually wanted to watch.

| It it were me, I'd keep shows at their original timeslots rather
than moving things around all the time. Or at the very least, only
move them when in repeats and then move them back each season start.
Took me forever to get use to Simpsons being on Thursdays instead
of the Weekend.
I think this was one of the reasons for the success of older shows,
you could plan to watch "Mary Tyler Moore", "Bob Newhart", etc all
in a row (even if different channels were involved). Nowadays, when I
start watching a new show, as soon as it gets moved I lose track of it
and stop watching it.
I believe people need time to build patterns, set schedules, etc. For
example, I KNOW Northern Exposure is on Monday nights - don't even have
to think about it. If they ever move it, I'll probably lose track of it.
I think the idea of breaking apart a set of popular shows to move them
near other shows that require help is bogus. All you end up with is
2 shows with weak followings, and eventual cancellations. Cancel the
weak shows and leave the others alone.
